Not only are these shellfish delicious and nutritious —they also play a vital role in maintaining healthy coastal ecosystems by providing habitat and filtering water. During this hands-on program\, you’ll learn about oyster aquaculture research at the Shellfish Research Lab\, see live oysters up close\, and engage with experts in seafood safety and food science. DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wondered how we feed the animals at the UGA Aquarium? Join us at 2 p.m. on the first and third Friday of the month to find your answer! Spend time exploring our exhibits and observing aquarium staff feeding ambassador animals.   \nAll ages are welcome\, but children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult\, and strollers are not permitted in the back of the aquarium.     \nFriday Feeding programs will be included with the cost of admission to the UGA Aquarium. Registration is not required.  Please note that there will be no Friday Feedings program on Friday\, Jan. 3.
